Tips from our Naturopath:
- Breathing looooong, deep and calming belly breaths will disrupt the feedback loop to the brain which fuels the ‘fight or flight’ response. Inhale slowly through the nose, relax your shoulders and after counting to 5, exhale slowly through the mouth with pursed lips.
- Do one thing at a time and focus on the present as much as possible. Multi-taking and rushing will only exacerbate things.
- Just like drawers, cupboards and bedrooms, our minds need tidying and organising. Tame cluttered thoughts and ideas fighting for your mind’s attention by working through a written ‘To Do’ list of all that’s bothering you.
